Seven things that may or may not relay my state of mind at this particular moment in time
I've been tagged by my friend (the writer and gradual student) Jai Clare on her blog The Cusp of Something, and I've chosen to play along… mostly.
Seven things to do before I die:
1. Figure out how not to die.
2. Travel the world with my sweetie.
3. Publish novels and sell screenplays.
4. Produce a film based on my novel.
5. Walk on a private beach in the Caribbean.
6. Learn to play the guitar properly.
7. Build a house with a view.
Seven things I cannot do:
1. Eat bugs.
2. Create music.
3. Navigate a boat.
4. Converse in a foreign language.
5. Get a tattoo.
6. Jump out of a perfectly good airplane.
7. Listen to any song by boy bands.
Seven things that attract me to my mate:
1. Her kind heart.
2. Her intelligence.
3. Her artistic talents.
4. Her sense of humor.
5. Her taste in music.
6. Her acceptance and patience.
7. Her feral, near-total lack of domesticity.
Seven books I love:
1. Catch-22 by Joseph Heller
2. Of Human Bondage by W. Somerset Maugham
3. The Once and Future King by TH White
4. The Sun Also Rises by Ernest Hemingway
5. Farenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury
6. The World According to Garp by John Irving
7. The Right Stuff by Tom Wolfe
Seven things I say:
1. A pint of Santa Fe Pale Ale, please, and a shot of tequila.
2. My friend at the end of the bar is buying.
3. He said he doesn't know me?
4. Then just put it on my tab!
5. There's no need for rudeness--I'll have you know your boss is a close, personal friend of mine!
6. He's here--where?
7. At the end of the bar, you say?
Seven movies I've loved:
1. Groundhog Day
2. La Vita Dolce
3. The Third Man
4. Cidade de Deus
5. LA Confidential
6. Wonder Boys
7. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Seven people to tag:
1. Ginger Hamilton Caudill
2. Fran Friel
3. Michael Ripley
4. Richard Lewis
5. Ken Kleemann
6. Peggy Johnson
7. Anyvictims volunteers?
Feel free to opt out, mi tagged compadres, but I hope you'll play along--and then I'll be able to look Jai in the eye, virtually speaking, and tell her I was good at being tagged, mostly.

gradual student???
Jai, I knew that would draw your attention! In The World According to Garp, that's what Garp's boy calls his mom's graduate students. (She's a professor of English literature.) An apt misnomer for her fictional graduate students, but not for you, I'm sure!
Hi, Richard. Enjoyed your list. Guess what, there's a similar theme in the seven things I say in my list. I suppose it's not surprising!
Roger.
Hello Roger,
Yes, we both must have been thirsty when Jai tagged our URLs.
